The band will be jammin out at the Ale Emporium on Friday night 7/30/10! Come check it out. The club is located at 8617 Allisonville Rd (corner of Allisonville and Center Run drive). This place is awesome! Voted best northside bar, they have over 100 beers to choose from, the drinks are strong and the deep dish pizza is the best in town.....seriously!! They have recently added a nice big live music room with a nice stage. We're looking forward to tearin it up! Come on out to help us break in a new venue. We will be throwing out fan favoirtes, new original material and some new covers too!! SEE YA THERE!!

The band will be performing outside at the Rathskeller Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 5, 2010. This will be our first outside show of the year and we're chompin' at the bit to throw out some jams under the night sky! It's always a good time under the stars at this venue! We are pleased to have the Shadyside Allstars as our very special guests for the evening. If you've seen these guys then you know why we've asked them to join us. If you haven't seen them yet.....you need to check em out on Saturday. These guys are awesome.....some of the best musicians that we've met along our strange and sorted journey. Come out early and stay late for a double dose of jams with The Elect and Shadyside as we join forces to tear the roof off the mutha!! Trust us.......you don't want to miss this one!! It's been known for a long time that we have had fans recording shows from time to time. We want to now make it official. The Elect is pro-taping and we do allow and in fact encourage taping of shows. However we do have a couple of polite requests:
1) Audio only please, no video. Video cameras are just to distracting for everyone involved.
2) Trading only, please don't sell the recordings for profit.
3) Audience source recording only, no board recording please. Sound engineers bum out on that sort of thing.
4) We'd like you to send us a copy of the recording so we can enjoy it too!
There are several folks who have set up friendly trading networks for a variety of musicians. They are only a click away. So, there you go.....taping and trading is cool with us. SEE YOU AND YOUR RECORDERS AT THE SHOWS!!

Here's a quick update on what has been happening with the band: We have been taking some time off from shows to write new material for an upcoming recording project. We are very happy with what we are coming up with! We've got a good bunch of tunes and are still writting more. We are now beginning to think about studios, producers, etc. to work with us on this new project. WE WILL BE BACK TO PLAYING SHOWS SOON!! Check the schedule page for upcoming shows. More will be posted as they are released. We are currently booking for all of 2010 so keep checking back. We will be at the Slippery Noodle Inn on 3/4/10. Check the schedule page for details.
